New Delhi, 24th April 2013: Fashionista, the school of fashion technology, presented Annual Fashion Fest 2013 at The Kila, Seven Style Mile. The wonderful evening of fashion , style and glamour was a result of intense dedication and immense hard work by 60 dynamic young students coupled with impeccable guidance from the faculty of the institute
Spotted at the event were HH Alka Rani Singh of Pratapgarh , Designers Ashish N Soni , Mayyur Girotra , Joy Mitra , Abdul Haldar , Super Model Donna Maseih , Seema Puri , Singer Shibani Kashyup , to name a few.
The show presents a bouquet of five breathtaking themes GLITTERATE , NAUTICAL , PSYCHYEDELIC, LADDER OF LUST and WOMAN EMPOWERMENT.. Choreographed by Gopalika Virmani the show was successful in putting forward the creativity of these students and giving them a platform that would place them on the world map of Fashion and Design.
“At Fashionista , its not just about technical learning about the industrial processes in fashion. We strive to hone the creative skills of our students and help them go beyond traditional design paradigms. I am extremely proud of the artistic pursuits undertaken by our students and look forward to a great show today as they showcase some of their most inspiring creations.” said Mrs. Neetu Pawan Manikatalia, Director Fashionista.
Kick starting with GLITTERATE which depicts the ultimate madness of art, creativity and innovation , it is a n ultimate showcase of surreal visuals in gold, silver and black manifesting attires in velvet , net , wires, lycra and rexin .
The show further graduated to NAUTICAL , that derives inspiration from the scenic beauty of marine life. Transcended into the third theme PSYCHYEDELIC fest becomes a perfect show window to succession of strong and weak fabric wires, fringes, sheets, flowers etc. The fourth theme LADDER OF LUST , accentuates the glamorous side of fashion.
The evening culminated with a central idea of WOMAN EMPOWERMENT by a hand picked set of budding designers from the institute Vikrant Makkar, Shivani Duggal and Priya Singh who pay an ode to the Indian women and represent an elaborate transformation of the saree.
The evening will also witness a showcase of an Installation on LAMRETTA by the students of interior design created by Neha Tanwar, Zoomingmawaii, Lalhmingmawaii and Rahul Goel.

DeleteThis is a nice post, its great that the school supports their students so much. Not many schools offer that much support, I wish I studied fashion or something to do with make up when I was younger, xoxo.
