My Experience with Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing Foundation:
Lotus Herbals Purestay Nourishing Foundation comes in a long sleek cylinder like plastic bottle with metallic pink colour pump dispenser. I like the package very much, but the pump dispenser isn’t working properly and sometimes it is getting stuck and dispensing the foundation will be a big problem. Somehow I don’t feel this pump dispenser is convenient to use, it could be more better for the price. There is no cap cover which is not so hygienic.
Shade, Texture and Smell:
Somehow I feel this Hazelnut star shade is very unique for most of the Indian skin tones. This shade suits for NC40 skin colour and at the same time it suits for NC45 too. I have read a lot of reviews about it and most of the beauty bloggers used this shade and reviewed. This shade suits for my skin tone very well, I am NW43 and in Lakme my shade is Shell.
The Texture of the foundation is creamy and very thick. I thought it will be difficult in blending this foundation when I saw the texture first. Later, my opinion was totally wrong when I started to blend this foundation on my skin. Yes, it melts on the skin when you start to blend on your skin. I prefer fingers especially for this foundation, because the texture is very thick and it needs a little extra pressure, where a soft brush cannot do this.
The Smell is a bit heavy and it is lovely fragrance, I like it.
I didn’t expect that this foundation will help my oily skin looks fresh for very long time. Yeah!!! I was like wow I got my HG foundation, I feel very happy whenever I use this foundation. It is easy to bled on my skin by fingers. It gives medium coverage to my face and completely hides my minor flaws on the face. This foundation gives a slight dewy finish, but I never feel heavy or greasy on my face even after 5 hours. But, after 5 hours my T-Zone gets shiny and oily and needs slight touch ups.
This is an awesome foundation which looks fresh and when I return from the outing still my face looks fresh other than the T-Zone (This area really sucks) . The another beautiful thing with this foundation is it doesn’t feel heavy or looks cakey on the skin,it looks very natural in the photos too. I was suspecting that this foundation will oxidize because it has SPF 20, but it is completely wrong. I am super happy with this foundation, I will continue to use it until I get bored :p.
